Two Weeks on the Road

July 14th we arrived in Kentucky to visit with daughter Judy, hubby BJ & Granddaughter Alex for 3 nights. We had a lot of fun up in Alex's room playing with her Wii game. Phil and I are both beginning to get pretty good at the bowling. Went to see the new Harry Potter movie on opening day. Judy helped me transfer pictures from my old Sony laptop onto a jump drive so I would not lose them if and when the sony dies. Overall we had a great visit and soon we were back on the road going north.

July 17th we arrive in Brownsburg, IN to stay with son, Todd, wife Joyce and their family. Best of all we got to meet our new Great Granddaughter Karley whom we had lots of fun playing with. She is almost six months old and this is the first time that we have actually seen her. On Saturday we all went to the local art show where we wandered around the park enjoying kettle corn and finding a new flute for Phil.

That afternoon Todd, Phil & Emily enjoyed seeing Harry Potter (second time for Phil) while Joyce and I saw the great, but a tear jerker, My Sisters Keeper.

By Monday the 20th we were on the road again across Indianapolis to visit our Florida friends Jim & Maryann Miller. Was fun to stay with them in their summer home.
We had problems with our Wii game while at their house....but Walmart was so great as
without a box or a receipt they gave us a new game. This is why we always shop Walmart as they stand behind the products they sell.

Tuesday through Sunday found us in Columbus, IN with brother Gary and wife Alitza.
Also while in town I spent time with brother Joesph and sister Shirley. Gary & Phil had fun playing their guitars and Alitza & I had alot of fun bowling on our Wii.
They, as always, had great meals and wonderful hospitality which makes it alot of fun to stay with them. We even took in a softball game with their grandchildren. One highlight was going to our old high school hangout, which as been recently remodeled, "The Greeks" aka Zaharakos for a treat of ice cream

On Saturday the 25th the four of us traveled to Brown County for the wedding of our grand daughter Jessica. It was a lovely outside ceremony with the reception having a sit down meal at the Seasons resort. Their favorite meal is breakfast so that's what we had...what a novel and great ideal. Of course cake etc was also served.

Soon it was Monday and we were on the road north again. This time to Michigan.

  1. Good to see that you are starting to blog again. I took a chance and opened your sight...I hadn't known (or forgotten) about the problems with your Wii game. Hugs
