Six Nights in Michigan

Tuesday July 28th found us at daughter MaryBeth's house in Ada Michigan. We spent an enjoyable 6 nights with her, hubby Steve and Grandson Eric. One negative thing is that their house is in a "dead zone" as far as cell phone and wireless access but.... the upside is that they are located back in a wooded area that is so quiet and secluded. You would never guess that a road is close because you never see or hear the cars.

We had such a great time playing with our Wii game and it seemed like each night was movie and ice cream time for all. Fun for us but not so great for the blood sugar and the weight. Oh well maybe we can be real good between here and Wisconsin.

Went with Grandson Eric & daughter MaryBeth to the church that Eric is now a member of. Its a lot like a Quaker church and he seems to be very happy and content with this church family. We are just glad that he has found a place within his life that he is comfortable with. Also it was nice to meet his friends and enjoy a noon meal with them.

We also visited "Gilda's House" where Marybeth works. This is the organization started for Gilda Radnor where people who have cancer are helped in many ways. Quite a wonderful home with many rooms for meetings and such. Marybeth is in charge of the nursery where the children of clients and employees are cared for.

On Monday, August 3rd we left Ada Michigan and headed back south to swing over to visit more family in Wisconsin. As we travel slow a night was spent on the road down below Chicago.
