My three girls, Judy, Debbie,Marybeth and I were together in central Indiana for a short 2 hours....but what fun it was to visit with all of them ..took lots of pictures and exchanged our camera disks between computers. Deb & Marybeth had made plans to meet with me a couple of months ago as Phil and I were going to be in Indiana for the guitar convention. We selected a town that would be a three hour drive for each of us. My surprise for them was that I had their younger sister, Judy drive up from Kentucky the night before and stay with us in Winchester. Was great for me as I had a driver for the 6 hrs round trip. Marybeth slowly made her way down from Michigan doing her geochatching along the way. It took her, I think, like 13 hours to make a 3 hr trip...but she had a great time then stayed overnight near where we were meeting. Debbie who is from Wisconsin is currently working in Illinois and made her 3 hour trip driving with her right hand in a cast. Debbie just had her 10th Grandchild, Jillian. They had a shower for Paula and everyone signed squares so that Grandma could make a baby quilt..we each were able to make a square to add to this quilt. Even twin Martha got in on our little party by calling me from France while we were sitting in the Burger King, our meeting spot. We were lucky that they never ran short of tables so we continued to use a great corner table for 2 hours. We did buy drinks and then lunch while using their tables. One last thought..on the way to Rensselaer, near Fowler IN we saw a huge Wind Farm that is new... so Indiana has joined the new green generation by producing wind power. Long but fun day.
