After spending one night in Georgia, with our nephew Ken, we are now at daughter Judy's house in Kentucky for 3 nights. As their new exchange student doesn't arrive until late July we have a lovely upstairs room to use. Grand daughter Alex has even moved her Wii equipment into the room. So the Wii scale this morning was 123.2 and my b/s was 87. Slept in until 8 AM... breakfasts with the family and now everyone is doing their own thing..Judy drove Alex to town for band practice, Phil is playing games, BJ is napping and I am, duh, using Judy's computer to catch up and then plan to read some of my new novel. Think this afternoon we are all going to see the new movie, "The Last Airbender"
Wednesday... we were up and on the road by 6:30.. we do stop alot on the way to do small walk-a-bouts at the rest areas. Also we are carrying all our food with us so we do have our meals out of the back of our car....kind of like tailgating at the ball games. Traffic went really slow in one area as they had a multi vehicle accident that included a 5th wheel camper... bad news for alot of people. We arrived at Kens house by almost 3 pm and enjoyed the evening with Ken and his 2 sisters, Beth & Fran, who were also visiting.
Thursday.... Left Kens by 6:45 and had a nice smooth trip from Georgia then over to Birmingham and up I 65 to Kentucky. Again after many stops to stretch and eat we arrived at Judy's in Kentucky by 6 PM. On Saturday they are having their 4th July parade ... Alex will be marching with the school band and we will also get to meet her new boyfriend, Jon.
Oh yes, talked with Debbie.. she saw the doctor again and saw that she has 20 sitches plus 2 pins in her right hand... but able to drive and is back at work..she now tells people what and how to do the remodeling work.
