Pictures are Alex after marching in the Parade and Alex & Jon. Last night we watched the 2nd Narnia Movie which was good..but the house kept getting hotter and hotter so at bedtime Judy kicked on the AC...which made sleeping ever so much better. Up and on the road to Indiana just after 6 AM. Got gas just before we hit I-65, so far have traveled 1,094 miles...gas so far $58.
After several rest area stops we pulled into Brownsburg IN by 11:00 Thought we'd stop by our home for the next 2 nights, Hampton Inn, and see if we would be lucky enough to get a really early checkin.. Yup... was great to put the bags in our room before heading over to Todd's house. Visited with them before returning to our room for showers, emails and lunch.
Back with them shortly after 2:00... Joyce's family were all coming in, about 20 people plus the six of us made for a full house..lucky most of the kids spent the greater part of their time in the pool outside off the deck.. A great 4th of July cookout for everybody....me.. I brought my own veggys & beans adding fresh sliced tomatoes.. What I had missed today was my greens so picked up a bottle of green machine at the store on the way home.
Found that our hotel does not get the Versus Channel so no race for us..but..checked the computer and saw that they had a big wreck near the end so Todd was nice enough to let us see the last 30 minutes of the race at his house. Plan to check out more of the race on the computer tonight. Happy 4th to you all.. we should be able to watch the Brownsburg fireworks from our room (if we are still awake) as we are on the 4th floor.
